Our History
The first location of River City Dental Care® was 228 South Clinton Street in downtown Iowa City. Opened on May 6, 1986, by Dr. Bradford J. Stiles, D.D.S., the practice offered extended evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of our patients. This proved to be a very popular concept, and over the next ten years the practice grew at a phenomenal rate.
To accommodate our growing patient population, we needed more staff and more space, prompting our move to 817 Pepperwood Lane in 1996. 
We spent four years there until the practice once again outgrew our office space. This time the desire to remain on the "cutting edge" of dentistry inspired Dr. Stiles to design a new building, one that could provide the space and technology to make River City Dental Care® the "ultimate" dental office.
We moved into our current building at 1950 Lower Muscatine Road in July of 2000. The main level is
devoted to patient care, with nine operatories, equipped with chair side computers, televisions and DVD's to provide interactive communication and patient education. We offer digital radiography which provides minimal x-ray exposure to the patients and exceptional imaging for diagnostics.
The design of the
building meets the guidelines of accessibility, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with high ceilings covered in wood, lots of natural light and stained glass windows. The office is a friendly and comfortable place to bring the whole family for dental care. We also have ample free parking reserved for patients of River City Dental Care®.
Our lower level provides a staff lounge/kitchen, locker room, laundry room, bathroom, 
conference/continuing education room and a training facility, fully equipped with two dental operatories. These "ops" are used to train new staff members in a setting that matches our treatment rooms upstairs. They are also used by guest speakers during presentations for continuing education. This provides a real "hands on" setting for practicing new techniques
