For New Patients
When you first arrive at River City Dental Care® you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists. Patients of all ages are asked to fill out a health history form if you have not already received one in the mail. You will also receive our brochure describing our office philosophy and policies. To save time, you may print the Health History Form, fill it out, and bring it with you to our office.
Most of our new patients have been referred to our office by other River City Dental Care® patients. We like to keep track of such referrals so that we can thank our patients and show them we appreciate their confidence in the dental care we provide. You will be asked to fill out a card indicating "how you heard about us".
Your first visit is spent conducting a thorough examination, which includes:
- Complete review of your health history
- Your blood pressure will be checked and documented
- The dentist will perform a clinical exam of the head and neck
- You will also be screened for oral cancer
- Your periodontal health will be evaluated
- All teeth and existing restorations will be checked for signs of decay
- Trans illumination of your teeth will be done to detect any cracks or fracture
- Impressions may be taken for study models
With
the information that we gather during this examination we
can develop a comprehensive treatment plan to meet your
dental needs.
The dentist and one of our treatment coordinators will review what treatment, if any is needed, how long treatment should take to complete, fees and payment options available.
